Each individual proceeds through life as the expert of their own story. With this perspective, I invite my clients to explore the influence of adversity in their personal and family lives. Through therapeutic discussions, it becomes possible to discover new outcomes with a sense of optimism and strength.

Whether you are considering counselling for yourself or a family member, I encourage you to browse the site and become acquainted with some of the therapeutic approaches I like to work with. My hope is that you will become acquainted with the philosophy and value-based therapy I offer.

Thank you for considering Cindy Thompson Counselling.

Starting September 5, 2024 I will be welcoming Lindsay Neale, a practicum student from Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling program to my practice (virtually).

Lindsay is committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward positive change. She strives to create a comfortable and safe environment where clients can openly share and explore their concerns. Her approach is person-centred and strengths-based, incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based techniques. Lindsay works with youth, young adults, and adults, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, relationships, postpartum challenges, and parenting.

To make her services more accessible, Lindsay will be offering sessions at a discounted rate of $50 per session.  All sessions will be conducted virtually, in accordance with Yorkville University’s guidelines for best practice when the site supervisor has a private practice in their home.

If you or someone you know are interested in scheduling a virtual session with Lindsay, you can email her directly at counsellingwithlindsay@outlook.com.

Thank you for your continued trust in my practice. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or for further information.
